15KHz: 15 years, 15 songs – the commemorative vinyl record from ETIC_Algarve

To celebrate 15 years of creativity, talent, and sound, ETIC_Algarve released the commemorative vinyl record 15KHz: 15 anos, 15 Músicas, a unique piece that brings together the essence of the school’s sound and the talent of generations of graduates.

This project is a musical journey spanning 15 years of history, bringing together 15 tracks produced between 2010 and 2025 by graduates of the Technical Courses in Sound and Music at ETIC_Algarve. Each track is a testament to the artistic and technical evolution that defines the school’s path in the world of creative training.

A project entirely produced by ETIC_Algarve

The vinyl album 15KHz: 15 anos, 15 Músicas (15 years, 15 songs) was produced entirely by ETIC_Algarve, with musical curation by Rafael Correia, tutor in the Sound and Music Department, known artistically as DJ Gijoe / Sickonce, and mastering by Hugo Santos, also known in the music world as Y.L.S, who is also a trainer in the Sound and Music Department.

The result is a selection of sounds that combines different styles, eras, and experiences, but with one thing in common: the creative and collaborative spirit that defines ETIC_Algarve.

Internationally recognized design

The design of the 15KHz vinyl: 15 years, 15 Songs was developed by Nicholas Wong, a student at Teesside University in the United Kingdom, an international partner of ETIC_Algarve.

During his internship in Faro, Nicholas was challenged to create the cover for this commemorative vinyl record, an opportunity that symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and creative exchange that characterizes the school.
The result is a minimalist, vibrant, and expressive cover that visually translates the sound waves and energy of ETIC_Algarve’s 15 years.

A launch that brought generations ETIC_Algarve together

The official launch of 15KHz: 15 Years, 15 Songs took place on October 31 at Bar Madalena in Faro.
The event brought together graduates, former students, trainers, and members of the ETIC_Algarve team for an evening of celebration and reunions, where the vinyl was played in its entirety for the first time.

Amid applause and excitement, the audience relived memorable moments in the school’s history, a true tribute to the community that, for 15 years, has been transforming ideas into sound and passion into a profession.
