Enjoy “From War With Love” by Jordana Gasparinho, selected for FARCUME 2025

The short film From War With Love, directed by Jordana Gasparinho, a graduate of ETIC_Algarve’s Technical Course in Film and TV Production, has been selected for FARCUME – Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de Faro 2025.
With this selection, ETIC_Algarve will be present at FARCUME 2025, reinforcing the talent and dedication of its students.

The festival will take place on October 17, 18, and 19, 2025, at the Hotel 3HB in Faro, and the screening of this short film is scheduled for October 17.

A story of love and resilience that spans generations

“From War With Love” tells the story of a young woman who discovers a hidden box of letters, revealing a love story between her great-grandparents during World War II.

Between memories, sacrifice, and courage, the narrative highlights the power of love in times of war and the importance of family roots, in an emotional journey that invites the audience to reflect on the power of stories from the past.

From the classroom to the big screen: the journey of graduate Jordana Gasparinho

This project was developed throughout the academic year as the final project for the Technical Course in Film and TV Production.

Graduate Jordana Gasparinho took on the task of directing the film, with the support and talent of her classmates, who participated in various areas of audiovisual production, from cinematography and sound to editing and assembly.

The presence of this short film at FARCUME 2025 represents further recognition of the talent and dedication of ETIC_Algarve graduates, and reinforces the school’s role as a benchmark for technical and creative training in the south of the country.

ETIC_Algarve continues to promote projects that combine creativity, technique, and innovation, giving its trainees real-world experience in the audiovisual sector and opportunities to showcase their work in professional contexts and film festivals.
