José Jesus

Video Trainer

José Jesus was born in Faro in 1988. He graduated in multimedia art. He is an enthusiast of multidisciplinarity and develops activities across the board: he was a jury member in the film competition at the Temps d’images festival in Lisbon and has developed several videos for musical content, such as d’O LUDO, Zé Eduardo and Mauro Amaral.

He also develops an artistic practice, with works exhibited both collectively (LUZA Festival, Pavilion 28) and individually (Teatro das Figuras). In 2009 he collaborated with Mario Pires Cordeiro and João Lima Duque in the ASSAULT project filmed at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; in 2010 he was co-editor and co-director of the documentary OS OUTROS, made for the catalogue of the exhibition of the same name (Pavilhão 27, CSJM in Lisbon) and in 2011 he participated in the interview with João Pires Cordeiro for the catalogue of the exhibition of PhDs from Chelsea University, London.

He lives and works in the city where he was born, after an adventure that took him across 2 continents.
